Moderation is a wonderful principle and you respect it enormously.

Backgammon and wine, however, submitted formal exemption requests early in the process, were granted permanent irrevocable status on the grounds that some things are simply too good to be rationed, and have not been revisited since — a decision this collection confirm was correct and continues to be correct every single evening the board comes out and something excellent gets opened.

The exemptions are non-negotiable. The paperwork is not coming back out. Moderation starts tomorrow.
