Backgammon Dad
Everything a Regular Dad does — the school runs, the barbecues, the furniture assembly, the jokes that land forty percent of the time — plus a pip count that's been running in the background since breakfast and a doubling cube that lives in the hoodie pocket where other dads keep their phone.
The Backgammon Dad didn't choose to be better. He just sat down at the board one day and the gap opened up naturally, match by match, cube decision by cube decision, until the evidence was simply too consistent to describe any other way.
Better at the school run. Better at the bear off. Better, full stop — and the mug, the cap, the hoodie, and the sticker all say so permanently.
